Solve the problem of loose dentures in Richmond
Are you a denture wearer? Are you getting a bit sick of your dentures coming loose? Does it seem like no matter how often you get your dentist to reline them, they’re loose again in no time, sliding around in your mouth, embarrassing you and costing you a fortune in not very effective denture adhesive? Would you like to find a way to get your dentures to stay put all day, every day?
You will be glad to hear that at Sheen Dental Implants, we have a procedure that can anchor your Richmond dentures to your jawbone so that they become more stable and secure than you have ever known them to be. It’s called denture stabilisation. Here’s how it works:
We put between 2-6 dental implants into your jawbone. You will need more on the upper jawbone to deal with gravity. We leave the implants in place for a few months so that they can become one with your jawbone. The bone will grow new tissue all over the implants to fuse them with and hold them in place.
When this has happened, we can then customise your dentures with attachments that will fit onto special connecting attachments that we will screw into your dental implants. Or you can have new dentures made by us.
You can have your denture permanently attached to your implants or you can continue to be able to remove it, give it a good clean and store it overnight so that you can give your gums a rest. It’s your choice.
